I know that as clients, it is sometimes confusing to decide what size prints or canvases to choose in order to best display your portraits in your home.  I thought that this size comparison might help.  I know that we don't have the luxury of having fireplaces here, but I still thought this visual aid would help to compare sizes. I have been thinking for awhile now how I could use my photography and retouching skills to give back.  Back in September, I found an organization called NILMDS (Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep) and applied to be a digital retouch artist.   Today, I got a notice that I was approved.  I know the work will sometimes be difficult, but to help families in need will be worth the reward. For those of you who don't know about NILMDS, the organization provides professional photography services to families who have lost a child.  The mission statement for NILMDS is as follows " To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture.  We believe these images serve as an important step in the family's healing process by honoring their child's legacy."
