Yeah

I got to take Spring pictures yesterday. I didn't get as many as I would have liked to due to that fact that it is "Golden Week" here. Basically, the Japanese take a week off work to celebrate Spring. Every park I went to was packed! I had to find a place relatively calm to keep the kids attention. Take a look at some of the pictures I took. OK, for some reason this page is not letting me upload my pics. I guess I will try again later.

Spring

I am so excited it is spring. The cherry blossoms are here and they are gorgeous! It is getting warmer again. It actually snowed here on Sunday! All the flowers were bloomed out and then here comes the snow, again. I think the flowers have made a full, no partial recovery. Some of the cherry blossom trees look green because the blooms fell off. Nevertheless, I am going to try and take spring pictures of my kids today. Try is the optimal word because I have two toddlers. They usually both run in opposite directions! Thank goodness my daughter will be with me to help!! The twins will be 2 next month. I can't believe it! Time has flown by with them. I have enjoyed staying home with them and getting to know them. My oldest son, Mckenzie, will be 8 on the same day the twins turn 2. Can you believe that? What are the chances? The twins and Mckenzie have the same birthday. I guess I am just lucky. : )

New stuff

I am so excited. I decided to enroll in a photography course through New York Institute of Photography. I just completed my first photo project and I am very excited about the course. I am still taking classes to finish my degree in Information Systems Management, but I am more interested in photography. I have already learned so much from online groups as well as the course. These are the pictures I submitted. I had to use manual settings to show motion, a large aperture to show a sharp subject and blurred background, and a small aperture to have everything in focus. The weather is great today so we are planning to go to the park when the twins wake up from their nap. I am really excited about the cherry blossoms about to bloom. Next weekend we will be going to the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival. It is beautiful there and I will be sure to get many pictures. My best friend's family is going with us, so I am very excited. They are leaving to move back to the States in about

i heart faces/Week 14/ Easter Amateur Entry

This is my entry for the Iheartfaces site this week. This week there is a special category for amateurs which I think is a great idea! I choose this picture because I like the look on my son's face and I really tried to get the colors of the basket and egg to pop. Head on over and check out the other entries at http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/

I finally have Internet!!

OK, so the base decided to change every one's Internet and phone service to Verizon. This was supposed to all be done on March 30. There was tons of problems with the switch over and people were left without phone and Internet service. I think by now most of the problems have been resolved. We finally got the Internet back on Saturday, April 11. That was a long time to go without Internet. Then when I finally got Internet access I checked my bank account and found out that someone had used my account fraudulently . I tried to call the number on the back of my bank card and of course the company was closed. The hours here are way ahead of the States. The bank here was closed because it was after 11:00 am on Saturday when I found out. So, I was left with no remedy to close my account or put a freeze on it. I checked the account again today and there is now other money that has been taken from it!! Thank goodness the bank is open today. Hopefully, I will get everything r
