Yesterday the weather was so nice here!  I took the twins (and Piggy) out to play!  This is the look I get from my son when he is tired of me taking photos...   Here is Emerson and Piggy.  Piggy goes everywhere with us.  He even sits on the ledge of the bathtub and wa tches the twins take baths.     They spotted an airplane, which is very common since we live on an air base, but nevertheless, they still get very excited over the planes . I feel so lucky and blessed.  I am in Japan and I have a great family and a job that I truly value and love.  If we were in the States right now, I don't know if that last part  would be possible...  I really do have the best job in the world.  I know that maybe some people would  say, " who would aspire to be a photographer? "  The reason people would say that, I guess, is because those people don't truly understand the value of photography. My talent gives me the opportunity to record memories.  Memories that perhaps would not be recorded otherwise.  Memories are just memories but, photographs are tangible memories .  When I take a photograph, it is a glimpse of the present and past at the same time. After all, the present will be the past way too soon. My only daughter is almost 13, wow, how time has flown. Life is so busy and sometimes it is hard to slow down and realize what is truly important.  I will be the first one to admit, I do take time for granted

This weekend I was feeling inspired to change my living room around.  As you know, if you live in base housing, our houses aren't the biggest in the world (not sure on the square footage).  I live in a 4 bedroom H-style, so if you have never seen the living room in these houses, it is pretty much a big rectangle, so it is sometimes challenging to get everything to fit. Also, I have tons of photos and I wanted to add photo groupings to my walls to make them look more full.  I took these photos yesterday and here are a few photos of what I did: Teresa Hart Photography

This past weekend I had the ultimate pleasure of photographing 12 day old Kayla. She was such a cutie and so alert and interested in what was going on that she didn't go to sleep during our session. The photographs I got of her that look like she is sleeping, well, she was resting her eyes. I had so much fun taking Kayla's photographs and I want to thank Hannah and Matt again. Enjoy! This week over at i♥faces it is we♥kisses week; I was so excited because I knew exactly which photograph I would use. I took the twins to the park one day last summer and I told my son to kiss his brother, of course never thinking he would actually listen to me.  LOL  I was very surprised when he actually did it and I was fortunate enough to catch it!  This is one of my favorite photos I have of my sons and I will cherish it forever.  I also love that Dexter, the bear, is right there with them on the bench. The challenge at iheartfaces this week is about places that we love.  I decided to post photos of the place I currently live, Japan.  These photos are from various places. Some are from Komaki park.  There are a ton of Koi fish there that will swim up to you so you will feed them.  My kids love to go there and it is a very nice place to walk around or a very nice backdrop for photos. The waterfall pictures are from a beautiful place called Oirase Gorge.  There are so many waterfalls there and every time I have gone there, it is busy.  Japanese people hike through there often and there are bus tours that go there. There are photos from a tea shop in town called "The Cake Shop".  My kids enjoy going there and it is a treat for us.  They have the best banana milk tea and I think I am addicted to it!
